“Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” — 1 Corinthians 13:6-7
What a Godly Relationship Is Not
- It’s not perfect—but it’s honest.
- It’s not without conflict—but it handles conflict with grace.
- It’s not about control—but about mutual freedom and trust.
- It’s not rushed—but rooted in patience and prayer.
If you’re in a relationship that constantly leaves you feeling anxious, confused, or unworthy, it may be time to step back and ask: “Is this drawing me closer to God—or pulling me away?”
God Wants More for You
God doesn’t want you to settle for a relationship that drains you. He wants you to experience love that reflects His heart—steadfast, kind, and life-giving.
“Every good and perfect gift is from above.” — James 1:17
You don’t have to chase love. You don’t have to beg for it.
When it’s from God, it will come with peace, not pressure.
How to Pursue a Godly Relationship
- Start with your relationship with God– Let Him be your first love.
- Pray for discernment– Ask God to show you what’s real and what’s not.
- Set boundaries that honor Him– Emotional, physical, and spiritual.
- Wait for peace– God’s timing is worth the wait.
Prayer
Lord, I want a relationship that honors You. Help me to recognize what is real and what is not. Teach me to love in a way that reflects Your heart. And when the time is right, bring someone into my life who will walk with me in faith, truth, and love. Amen.
